National Instruments cDAQ-V1101 CompactDAQ Voltage Measurement Bundle
The National Instruments cDAQ-V1101 (Part Number: 865684-01) is an integrated voltage measurement system designed to allow for superior accuracy and isolation for all measurements made in the course of test and measurement applications. This system provides engineers with a ready-to-use system from which to make a direct connection to the various voltage signals associated with industrial, automotive, and laboratory facilities. This solution provides accurate voltage measurements using a compact and protected system.
This bundle consists of several devices that can be combined to form a complete data acquisition system. The cDAQ-9171 is the centerpiece of the system. It is a one-slot USB powered chassis designed for rugged use. The cDAQ-9171 is the backbone of the communication system, connecting to the computer using a USB 2.0 high-speed interface. This unit provides the timing and synchronization of the modules that are part of this system. The NI-9215 is a four-channel analog input voltage measurement module designed for this system with 16-bit resolution and a synchronous sampling rate of 100 kS/s. There are differential inputs of ±10 Volt with 250 Vrms channel-to-earth isolation, reducing safety hazards when measuring circuits in the electrical distribution system. The NI-9981 backshell connector kit is also included with the bundle for proper strain relief as well as operator protection from accidental disconnections and possible exposure to high voltage circuits associated with various power sources. There is a normal USB cable included with the kit for convenient connection to the host computer.
The cDAQ-V1101 bundle is absolutely ideal for all sorts of voltage measurements, from bench-top validation to portable field test equipment. The simultaneous sampling gives the engineer the desired capability of synchronous measurements in multi-channel strategies, which are so vital in power quality measures, dynamic signal analysis, and in-vehicle data logging. Isolation barriers on the equipment protect both the users from high common-mode voltage problems as well as the equipment from transient noise problems so well-known in the electrically noisy industrial setting. Compatible with NI software such as FlexLogger for programming and setting up without all of the necessary programming, this bundle speeds up the operation of the data logging and provides a full interface with other standard file formats for a robust and versatile voltage measurement solution suitable for the ever-demanding requirements of various fields of engineering.
